Gabbro is a coarse-grained, dark-colored (black, gray, greenish) igneous rock formed by the slow cooling of magma deep within the Earth’s crust. Composed mainly of plagioclase feldspar, pyroxene, and olivine, it has a Mohs hardness of 6-7 and is widely used as a high-strength aggregate.

2. What is a 100-150 TPH Gabbro Crushing-Screening Plant?
This plant is an industrial facility designed to process 100-150 tons of raw gabbro per hour into specific sizes (0-5 mm, 5-12 mm, 12-25 mm, 25-50 mm) for construction, infrastructure, and industrial applications.

3. How Does It Work?
Stages:

  1. Feeding:

    • Raw gabbro blocks (500-800 mm) are loaded into the hopper via dump trucks or loaders.

    • Pre-Screening: Grizzly screens remove soil and fine debris.

  2. Crushing:

    • Primary Crushing (Jaw Crusher): Reduces gabbro from 500-800 mm to 150-200 mm.

    • Secondary Crushing (Cone Crusher): Cone crushers further crush material to 25-50 mm.

    • Tertiary Crushing (Impact Crusher): Vertical shaft impactors (VSI) produce fine aggregates (0-5 mm).

  3. Screening:

    • Multi-Deck Vibrating Screens: Separate crushed gabbro into sizes:

      • 0-5 mm: Sand for concrete.

      • 5-12 mm: Asphalt and precast materials.

      • 12-25 mm: Road base layers.

      • 25-50 mm: Railway ballast or drainage gravel.

    • Closed-Circuit System: Oversized material is recirculated to crushers.

  4. Storage & Dispatch:

    • Sized aggregates are stored in stockpiles or silos.

    • Automated loading systems transfer material to trucks or railcars.

4. Applications:

  • Construction: Concrete, asphalt, prefabricated structures.

  • Infrastructure: Road sub-base, railway ballast, port embankments.

  • Landscaping: Decorative gravel and stone paving.

  • Industrial: Abrasive production (sandpaper) and filtration media.

5. Key Equipment:

  • Primary Crusher: Jaw crusher (e.g., 900x650 mm feed opening).

  • Secondary Crusher: Hydraulic cone crusher (e.g., Nordberg HP300).

  • Tertiary Crusher: Vertical shaft impactor (VSI).

  • Vibrating Screens: 3- or 4-deck, 1800x6000 mm screens.

  • Belt Conveyors: EP 500 rubber belts.

  • Dust Control: Fog sprayers and baghouse filters.

6. Technological Features:

  • PLC Control System: Fully automated process monitoring.

  • Energy Efficiency: High-efficiency motors and water recycling.

  • Durability: Wear-resistant Mn-steel crusher liners.
