A mobile cone crusher is a portable crushing machine mounted on a wheeled or tracked chassis, designed to crush aggregates or ores. It retains all features of stationary cone crushers but offers mobility for easy transportation between project sites. It provides operational flexibility with options for tracked or wheeled chassis.
2. How Does It Work?
Feeding: Material is transferred to the crusher’s hopper via an excavator or feeder.
Crushing Process:
Eccentric Motion: The motor rotates the eccentric shaft, moving the cone head in a circular orbit around the fixed mantle.
Compression and Crushing: Material trapped between the moving cone and fixed mantle is crushed by pressure and grinding forces.
Size Control: Crushed material is adjusted to the desired size via the CSS (Closed Side Setting).
Conveying: Crushed products are transported via conveyor belts to stockpiles or the next processing unit.
3. Purpose
Fine Aggregate Production: Produces uniform-sized materials like sand and gravel.
Ore Processing: Reduces extracted ores to processable sizes.
Recycling: Converts construction waste (concrete, asphalt) into reusable materials.
4. Applications
Mining: Crushing gold, copper, or iron ores.
Aggregate Plants: Crushing and screening processes for road construction or concrete production.
Urban Projects: Concrete recycling in confined spaces using mobile solutions.
5. Advantages
Mobility: Rapid relocation between sites.
High Efficiency: Continuous optimization with automatic adjustment systems (ASRi).
Energy Savings: Low fuel consumption with hydraulic systems.
Versatility: Suitable for primary, secondary, or tertiary crushing.
