A mobile crushing and screening plant is a portable facility used to process materials like aggregates, ores, or construction waste. Mounted on wheeled or tracked chassis, it offers flexibility for temporary projects or remote sites.

Components

  1. Mobile Crushers:

    • Jaw Crusher: Primary crushing; reduces large rocks (up to 1.5 m) to 150–200 mm.

    • Cone/Impact Crusher: Secondary/tertiary crushing; produces 20–50 mm or finer output.

    • Vertical Shaft Impactor (VSI): Creates sand or specialized aggregates.

  2. Mobile Screens:

    • Vibrating Screen: Separates material into 2–3 sizes (e.g., 0–5 mm, 5–15 mm).

    • Multi-Deck Screen: High-capacity classification with multiple layers.

  3. Feeders and Conveyors:

    • Vibrating Feeder: Ensures steady material flow to the crusher.

    • Belt Conveyors: Transport material between crushers, screens, and stockpiles.

  4. Power Unit:

    • Diesel Engine: Provides energy in off-grid locations.

    • Hydraulic System: Controls crusher and screen movements.

  5. Control Panel:

    • Operators monitor and manage the system via remote or onboard panels.

Working Principle

  1. Setup: The plant is transported to the site via truck. Tracked models can navigate rough terrain.

  2. Primary Crushing: The feeder directs raw material into the jaw crusher.

  3. Screening: After initial crushing, the vibrating screen sorts material. Oversized pieces go to secondary crushers.

  4. Secondary/Tertiary Crushing: Cone or impact crushers further reduce material size.

  5. Final Screening & Storage: Finished products are stockpiled or loaded onto trucks.

Advantages

  • Mobility: Transportable with a single truck, quick setup.

  • Cost-Efficiency: Reduces material transportation costs.

  • Versatility: Processes aggregates, ores, demolition waste, or asphalt.

  • Energy Efficiency: Modern plants feature low fuel consumption.

Applications

  • Construction: Produces aggregates for roads, bridges, and buildings.

  • Mining: Crushes gold, copper, or manganese ores.

  • Recycling: Recycles concrete, asphalt, or brick waste.

  • Quarries: Processes natural stones into desired sizes.

Environmental & Safety Features

  • Dust Suppression: Water sprays and enclosed conveyors.

  • Noise Control: Soundproof panels and low-noise engines.

  • Operator Safety: Emergency stop buttons, GPS tracking, and remote control.
